INSPIRED BY HAKIM BEY AND THE CONCEPT OF A "TOTAL AUTONOMOUS ZONE", JAPANESE ARTIST TATSURO HORIKAWA DECIDED TO MAKE JULIUS_7 A PROJECT WHICH ALLOWED HIM TO MIX MUSIC, VISUAL, AND GRAPHIC ART IN A UNIQUE WAY WITHOUT OUTSIDE RESTRICTION OR CONTROL.   PREFERRING TO THINK OF HIMSELF AS A CREATIVE ARTIST RATHER THAN SIMPLY A "FASHION DESIGNER", HORIKAWA IS A SELF-TAUGHT DESIGNER WHO LEARNT THE PROCESS OF CREATION THROUGH SELF-STUDY.  SINCE JULIUS_7'S  FIRST RUNWAY PRESENTATION IN TOKYO, 2004, HORIKWA HAS CONTINUED TO CHALLENGE THE TRADITIONAL WAY FASHION AND CLOTHING ARE PRESENTED BY MIXING IN HIS LOVE OF OTHER AESTHETIC DISCIPLINES EACH SEASON.
